Young-Versace

AUTUMN/WINTER 2014-15

The Young Versace Autumn Winter Collection 2014-15 presents a sequence of looks that focus on maxi volumes, colour combinations and contrasts that reference the powerful and unmistakeable personality of the Maison.

Nursery and Baby (0-24 months)
The most stylish Nursery items feature the elegant baroque print, alternating with the all over Medusa print. Play suits, bibs, blankets and hats are in jersey or warm chenille, where pale shades of pink and blue are adorned with attractive braid trim. For those really important occasions, outfits in luxurious chunky knit cashmere display the Versace Greek fret motif worked into the pattern.

In the Baby collection the symbols of the Maison (the Medusa, Greek Fret and Baroque Print) interact with witty cartoon prints. T-shirts and dresses display the “Super Donatella” motif to bring a pop mood to the collection.

For little boys, an abundance of rock allusions on fleeces and romper suits with graffito prints in shades of black and white.

Junior (2-12 years)
The attitudes of the legendary Punk years of the 70’s are reprised in the theme BORN TO BE PUNK. Animalier furs, dresses and skirts in black spider web lace, layered over silk georgette in neon yellow or black vinyl combined with Milano rib jersey. Shredded tops are now a cult look, as well as ripped T-shirts with either studded patterns or the Medusa print and added piercing.
All combined with classic punk boots and biker jacket in black neoprene with applied glazed bands in random patterns adding a funky interplay of contrasts to the collection.

The TARTAN FLOWER theme is a tribute to the celebrated Gianni Versace collection. The colour combinations:
yellow, black and violet, and orange, black and turquoise used for tartans, flowers and stripes are the stars of this match winning team.
Coats in glossy glazed cloth are paired with tartan shorts and plissé floral skirts. Puffas in yellow tartan are worn over maxi pullovers in violet angora and viscose. Super coloured tights with stripes and Greek fret motifs are styled to look like over the knee socks.

Chains and iconic medals are the indispensable elements of the ICONIC & GOLD theme. Combinations of black/gold and white/gold are explored in a line of very original dresses embellished with micro studs. The outerwear is identified by opulent baroque prints, also found on the faded denims. On the other hand, T-shirts
and fleeces display centered crocodile effect prints, as well as the essential gold Medusa.

Making a stunning return to the scene, the GRUNGE theme is intrinsic to the soul of Maison Versace. On this occasion the elements that define this style have been reprised on pieces in maxi volumes with eye-catching contrasts. Standout colours are blue and cornflower blue paired with black, violet and the most radiant shade of
dark morello cherry. Dresses in dark colours are given tone on tone baroque prints, while the oversize knitwear comes in a mix of stitches and precious yarns. Puffas are in padded nylon with contrast features, coats in leo texture.
Amazing denims complete the line – with a faded black leather effect superimposed on the base colour for a totally updated interpretation of the grunge look.

Young Versace guys also get to share the BORN TO BE PUNK theme, in a rock mood presented through scratch and skull and bone prints. Fleeces are ripped or torn with the central logo placed on the cobweb.
As in the junior girl section, the star here is the Medusa print with added piercing. Blousons in nylon cordura feature black thermo-seams with techno zips and contrast print linings. This line is completed by commando boots with gunmetal studs.

This season the masculine treatment of ICONIC AND GOLD takes on a rap dimension. Fleeces and T-shirts are adorned with chains and medallions in gold with black croc effect print, or with the gold baroque print in faded
laminate.
Sneakers with inserts in gold and caps with rapper visors round off this characterful image to perfection.

Once again GRUNGE figures among the key elements of the collection for boys, recurring in a series of pieces that make up the total line. Macro check shirts are in shades of red and black, worn with trousers in faded denim or ripped models with tartan inserts. The biker jacket in black and cornflower blue camouflage kidskin is
doubled with neoprene techno mesh, while the bomber comes in glazed cloth with contrast sleeves.

In the FREESTYLE theme, the scratch print is presented in a multicolour treatment, broken up by sober touches of black and white.
Acid yellow and iron grey are the chosen colours for trousers, fleeces and puffas given a trendy techno look by sports meshes, zips and shower proof thermo-seams.
