For the 75th edition of Pitti Bimbo, Moncler Enfant has created “Have Fun!”, an event-installation scheduled to take place on 16 January 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Cavaniglia Pavillion of Florence’s Fortezza da Basso.

The show brings together the two spirits of Moncler: the technical one and the metropolitan one, with a set of 20 mannequins in snowboarding position. Together they provide the backdrop to a series of Monducks, the mascot duck of Moncler, lit up with murales-effect colours. Some Monducks will instead be left white, and children will be asked to decorate them during the event.

As with the main lines designed for adults, Moncler Enfant also divides the range of products into specific models for winter sports, and garments designed with a more everyday usage in mind. For both the ranges, for the boy and girl, the ski sections have been created using fabrics that ensure the utmost comfort, whilst high performance technical materials used for reinforcement, such as on waterproof zips and the gaiters, accessorise all the products to best effect. On the more urban front there is a variety of new entries this season for boys and girls, in both cases seeing a concept of jackets coordinated with other goods categories to render the construction of a total look more immediate.

For the girl Moncler has extended the range of prints used for nylon down jackets to feature polka dots, dogtooth checks, animal prints, flower prints and a snow effect. The fit has been rendered more feminine by silhouettes that are fitted, and wider at the bottom.Fuchsia, geranium and red teamed with silver graphic elements are amongst the main colours, paired with the more classic navy blue and intense sky blue, the latter defined with touches of white. The down biker jacket in black or white and the military greens define the gutsier segment of the collection, with ultra light volumes, including some that are extra long.

For the boy Moncler focuses on tricot design prints in both a plain effect and jacquard, as well as camouflage mixed with Shetland designs. In addition to the more classic boudin puffers, the maxi-quilted jackets also make their debut with herringbone or diamond prints. New takes on the college world are played out in shades of bottle green combined with white, and the range of greys with hints of red.As for the girl, a new version of the biker jacket has been created in black, whilst a tongue-in-cheek reworking of the biker world as a whole sees all-in-one motorcyclist-style suits developed in junior sizes as well. For the colour range we see a return of ottanium, brightened by the lacquered nylon. Orange, red, green and cornflower blue all evoke the vintage down jackets of the great expeditions of mountaineers.
